Meet Lee Rose
Lee Rose is the Editor at CharityVillage®. He spends the majority of his time reading, writing and tracking changes to great news stories, features and other content on CharityVillage.com. He has a predilection for precicely-placed punctuation and has been known to read the Elements of Style and Fowler's Modern English Usage for fun, and sometimes as bedtime stories to his children (Semicolons are your friends!).
Before joining CharityVillage®, Lee held the post of communications manager at the HR Council for the Nonprofit Sector. He holds an honours degree in English Literature (University of Ottawa, 2002) and self-identifies as both a CanLit and Québec cheese junkie. In his mind the perfect threesome includes a good book, a glass of red wine, and a hunk of stinky cheese from la belle province. He lives in Hollow Glen (a rural neighbourhood in Chelsea, Quebec) just outside of Ottawa with his wife Karine, their three kids and all of their hockey gear. As a former summer camp director, Lee has been known to dig down into his camp song repertoire during staff meetings. His role as president of the board of the Ten Oaks Project is an amazing outlet for said camp-inspired and social-justice-infused fun through programming for children and youth from LGBTQ communities.
